El Marques Restaurant in Tonopah

Nope. Did not like it. It was coated in oil, sat in a pool of oil, and lacked any flavor with the exception of cheese and disappointment. 2 stars for nice service but the food did not impress.

This place is no doubt one of the coolest restaurants in the neighborhood. Anytime I visit this place I am so glad. They hold their very high standard service and the topmost level of food they serve. You will be always satisfied with this place. Highly recommended.

July 3rd, 2019 we went to eat dinner there. We waited a little while for them to ask us for our drink order then waited 10 min for our drinks. Next we waited another 5 to 10 minutes for chips and salsa. Then someone came over and we ordered our food 30 min after we got there. We waited over an hour for our food to show up, and even a largo group of people that came right after is relieves all the food and we were still waiting and had finished our drinks, chips and salsa completely. We final just gave up and left. Horrible service. We used to love this restaurant, but dont chino we will go back again.

The food was good but the service was strange. The first waitress we got didnt speak a word of English. When we couldn't communicate with her she just walked away. Ten minutes later we got a server that we could communicate with and the meal went just fine after that. Dont reccomend the jalapeno poppers unless you like the peppers raw.

This place is amazing and by far my favorite restaurant in town. It is a business but they bring in so much family its wonderful. It truly feels like I'm welcome and wanted there. The staff are so friendly and warm. If this weren't enough, the food is so good. I love it!

Am from Arizona so I have a high threshold for my Mexican food. It was great. Th salad was the best and very fresh. Will visit again.

Excellent chili rellanos! In fact, we both agreed our entire meals were above average. Very pleasant waitress too. Glad we chose this spot.

The food was not bad. Employees were awkward. Made the experience uncomfortable. The girl ringing us up was not on top of it at all. She over charged us on a drink size that she swore they didnt have, when the other waitress literally just came and showed us the difference and told us to tell the girl ringing us up to change it. Yhaaaa, she didnt. Then she couldn't figure out a thought in her head after that. Frustrating. If you been on the road for hours and you just want to relax and eat or get a drink, this place might not be it.

Great food, fast and friendly service with a nice atmosphere. I will say I wasn't a huge fan of the margaritas, but the food more than made up for it!

Waited 10 minutes and was never seated, never saw a worker, tried to make myself seen. I eventually walked out.

Stopped in here last Friday night on the way home. Knocked off a star because the chips and salsa seemed to be store bought. Had both a cheese and shredded beef enchilada, both tasted pretty good. Comes with rice and beans, all for $7.95 -- a really good dinner value! Our server was prompt and attentive and she did a great job! Had a Modelo that was left in a bottle with a slice of lime, no glass. Presumably you can ask for one. Be nice if they simply brought an icy chilled glass or mug for the beer with your drink order. I will return to El Marques again when I'm in Tonapah. If you're driving through town and have a taste for Mexican food, I recommend stopping in for a good meal at a very fair price.

Great prices and food

Better than expected Mexican food in the middle of Nevada. Fast, service, hot food. Better relleno than some places in New Mexico.

Food was average. Not great but not bad, but in Tonapah options are limited.

The service and food were both excellent. I was pleasantly surprised because of the size of this small town. I had the beef tamale and chili relleno with red sauce and both were cooked well and had nice flavors. If I pass through again I’ll be sure to stop back in!

Absolutely delicious food!! Service was fantastic!! Bathrooms were super clean 😊. Prices were very good. Atmosphere was terrific. Very relaxing. I absolutely recommend this place.

The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the salsa, wasn't too spicy, but had great flavor. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I would come back again.

This is a great place to eat. It is open 7 days a week. The food is always hot and the atmosphere is friendly.

Good food great place to grab a bite to eat. Staff is very friendly. The place is very clean , nice bar area to sit eat drink an watch a game on the big screen. They have all sorts of beer here as well. They don't take cards unless your order is over $10. No casino games here. Truck parking just up the block from the place. Food is not expensive at all looks an taste great. Soda is a $1.50 +.50 per refill.

Our order took over 55 minutes as 5 take out orders went right by our table. I am a local and support this restaurant regularly. I won't be back for a long time 😞

American Mexican food was awful. The worst I've had. The server seemed to hate life and was about to explode. The older couple at the table next to us kept farting.

Really good restaurant and worth going to if you're stopping in Tonopah. The price was fair and the food delicious.
